Cat-centric means feline-centered and that is how we do things here. Our patients are 100% feline, so we stock the medications that cats use, tailor our equipment to their small size, and structure our workflow to suit them. For many years, surveys have shown that US households own more cats than dogs, but at the typical small animal hospital cats are only 30% of the cases and that leads to a lot of compromises.

At our hospital, the sickest cats do not have to share an intensive care ward with loud carnivores 5 to 10 times their size. We don’t have to try to extract a cat’s delicate premolar with instruments designed for a German Shepherd’s canine. We only have one species in our reception area and since cats don’t piddle on the corner of every coffee table, we have a rug to help keep things quiet.

Our staff can give you helpful advice on choosing carriers and getting your cat used to it. Once you are here we will give them time and space to come out of the carrier on their own in our exam rooms.

We appreciate that what works for one cat may not work for another, so we stock medication in multiple forms- chewable tablets, flavored liquids, long-acting injects, topical creams and patches.

We recognize that cats patrol feed rooms in barns, decks in subdivisions, and windowsills in condos. Cat households come in all different flavors as well, and we pledge to respect your budget and your needs while we work out a plan to give your cats the best health and the most comfort possible.
