More than any other part of the hospital, our OR reflects our commitment to AAHA Standards. Every patient has 1-on-1 nursing care for the entire duration of anesthesia, including hands-on and electronic monitoring of EKG, blood pressure, pulse oximetry, temperature, breathing, and pulses. The OR table is also heated. Our green hospital features LED lighting, Energy Star appliances, and recycling.

Our in-patient care and treatment area features heated beds for our anesthetic patients, suites with separate litter box areas for sick cats admitted to the hospital, and centralized work area for treatments, dental procedures, and surgery prep.

Our lab has a separate table for collecting samples, keeping our out-patients and in-patients separate. The door slide shut for more privacy if needed. We have an in-house chemistry machine for STAT results on our sickest patients. A variety of kit tests and microscopic examination is also performed here. We use a national lab for full profiles and pathology.

The isolation ward allows hospitalization of cats with contagious diseases. Their beds feature solid front to prevent sneezes from traveling. Other features of our infection control plan include sinks in every room as well as a detailed cleaning protocol for the entire hospital. There is a reason it smells so clean!
